Manitoba Experience Pathway

This pathway is for people currently working in Manitoba with a temporary work permit. This includes temporary workers and international graduates of Canadian post-secondary institutions.

Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway

To be eligible for this pathway, you have to be interviewed by a representative of the MPNP and a Manitoba employer. These interviews are carried out outside of Canada. You must receive an Invitation to Apply before applying through this pathway.

Skilled Worker Overseas Stream

The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream consists of two pathways:

Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

This pathway is for people who have an active Express Entry profile, and who are eligible under another MPNP stream. These people must also have experience in an occupation listed in Manitoba’s In Demand Occupations list and have a strong connection to Manitoba

• Must have a valid Express Entry profile with a Job Seeker Validation Code
• Must meet the minimum language requirement (CLB 6 for NOC B, and CLB 7 for NOC 0 or A);
• Must have enough money for a six-month period.

Human Capital Pathway

This pathway is for foreign skilled workers with experience in an occupation listed Manitoba’s In Demand Occupation

Other Requirements:

• Must meet the minimum language requirement (CLB 5 for NOC 0, A or B; CLB 6 for Compulsory Trades; CLB 7 for a Regulated Occupation);
• Must have completed at least one post-secondary program of one year long;
• If the occupation needs licensure or certification, you must apply to the regulatory body to assess your qualifications
• Must have enough money for a six-month period.

International Education Stream

It targets recent graduates from designated post-secondary institutions located in the province of Manitoba There are three pathways within this stream

Manitoba Career Employment Pathway

The Manitoba Career Employment Pathway targets foreign nationals who have recently graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary educational institution and who are working in Manitoba in an in-demand occupation

Manitoba Graduate Internship Pathway

The Manitoba Graduate Internship Pathway accepts applications from international graduates who have completed a Masters or PhD program in Manitoba within the last 3 years and who completed a Mitacs Elevate or Accelerate internship

Manitoba Student entrepreneur Pathway

The International Student Entrepreneur Pilot is targeting foreign nationals who have recently graduated from a Manitoba post-secondary institution and who have at least 6-months experience owning and managing a business in Manitoba.

Other Requirements:

• Must submit a business plan;
• Must meet the minimum language requirement of CLB 7
• Must operate the business on a daily basis in Manitoba for at least 6 months before being nominated;
• Must own at least 51% of the business;
• Must meet the language requirement of CLB 7;
• Must complete a full-time post-secondary education program in Manitoba that is at least 2 years long;
• Must be between 21 and 35 years old;
• Must have enough money for a six-month period;
• Must have a valid open work permit of Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP);
• Must have lived in Manitoba since graduation;
• Must intend to continue to live in Manitoba;
• Must sign a Business Performance Agreement once application is approved.
