Rural Entrepreneur Stream
Entrepreneurs who want to start a business or buy an existing business in a rural Alberta community with a population of less than 100,00.
Personal Eligibility requirements
- Minimum Net worth required: $200,000
( Primary applicant and spouse or common-law partner)
- Age requirement (Minimum-Maximum) : 21 to 49 year

Education: Completed a minimum of high school equivalent to the Canadian standard
- Minimum Business experience( In last 10 Year) : For Business Owner-3 year, For Senior Manager- 4 Year
- Minimum Language required: CLB/NCLC 4
( Proficiency in English or French)
Eligible Business Requirements:
- Minimum Investment: $200,000
- Business Ownership: For new business -51%, For existing business take over- 100%
- Minimum Job creation full time for Canadians: 1
Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
International graduates of approved Alberta post-secondary institutions who want to start a business or buy an existing business can submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
Personal Eligibility requirements
- Minimum Net worth required: Not mandatory requirement
- Minimum Business experience: 6 months
- Age requirement (Minimum-Maximum) : 21 to 49 year
- Education:Bachelor’s degree or a 2-year Diploma (mandatory minimum)
- Minimum Language required: CLB/NCLC 7 ( Proficiency in English or French)
Eligible Business Requirements
- Minimum Investment: $25000 but not mandatory
- Ownership: For new business -34%, For existing business take over- 34%
- Job creation full time for Canadians: Not Mandatory requirement
Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream
Foreign graduates from outside of Canada can apply for permanent residence.The Foreign Graduate Entrepreneur Stream is an economic immigration program for qualified foreign educated graduates from outside of Canada who want to launch start-up enterprises and innovative businesses in Alberta.Foreign graduates from outside of Canada can apply for permanent residence.

- Minimum Business experience: 6 months
- Age requirement (Minimum-Maximum) : 21 to 49 year
- Education:Minimum Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum Language required: CLB/NCLC 5

Eligible Business Requirements
- Minimum Investment: Urban centre is $100,000,regional area is $50,000.
- Ownership: For new business -Must have a minimum of 34% ownership if the business is located in an urban centre or a minimum of 51% ownership if located in regional area outside Calgary and Edmonton Census Metropolitan Areas.
- Settlement fund required: Yes
- Other Mandatory requirement: The candidate must have a letter of recommendation from an AAIP approved designated agency

Farm Stream
Experienced farmers who plan to buy or start a farm in Alberta can apply for permanent residence.
Personal Eligibility requirements
- Minimum Net worth required: Not mandatory requirement: More then $500,000
( Primary applicant and souse or common-law partner)
- Minimum Business experience: 3 Year
- Age requirement (Minimum-Maximum) : 21 to 49 year
- Education:Completed a minimum of high school equivalent to the Canadian standard
- Minimum Language required: CLB/NCLC 4
( Proficiency in English or French)
Eligible Business Requirements:
- Minimum Investment: $500,000 in farming Business
